Essential experience/Qualifications/Skills and Knowledge
At least 10 years experience in all aspects of primary design of HV open terminal substations from 66 kV to 500kV.
Ability and expertise in development of greenfields and re-development of brownfields substation projects.
Track record of leadership in delivering successful projects on time within budget
Experience for project design delivery from conceptual design through detail scope of work to construction design deliverables
Managing and resolving complext and difficult engineering issues
Customer/Supplier management experience
Identification, management and mitigation of primary technical risks on the projects
Continuous Improvement

Desired experience/Qualifications/Skills and Knowledge

Project Management
HV equipment technical specifications including GIS
Indoor GIS substation design
Network experience across technical field expertises
Interfaces with external stakeholders, other utilities and government organisations relevant to the business
Sufficient operational experience to maintain credibility and undertand what individual business do
Project Cost estimate and optimisation
Mentoring and knowledge transfer to junior engineers
